Melhem is an author, journalist, consultant and professor of geo-strategic communication.

He was the chairman of the communication department inside the Lebanese Forces party, and was minister of information (2016-2018) representing the Lebanese forces inside the government. 

Melhem deployed many law-project (CF ministry of information 16 months) to evolve the media sector but were unfortunately pended in the secretary of the state.
