Fawaz is seasoned business leader with a 32 year financial services career in the US, Europe and the GCC. He acquired strong product knowledge across traditional asset classes and alternatives, and experience in monitoring risk and ensuring compliance with bank and regulatory authorities.

 

Most recently Fawaz was managing director and head of the Saudi private banking team at Deutsche bank Suisse. Before joining Deutsche bank, Fawaz spent 6 years in Dubai as Managing director and Head of GCC Private Banking at Credit Suisse, and prior to that, as Managing Director and General Manager of Barclays Wealth. Fawaz also had senior roles at the Bahrain based Investcorp and Ahli United Bank, where he led the private bank as Deputy Group CEO. He was also a board member of Ahli United Bank, Qatar. Fawaz started his career in New York where he undertook senior roles from 1986 to 2001 with HSBC and UBS.
